Third edition 2010
Third edition of Kosovo Film Festival “The Goddess on the Throne” is held from 20-25 November 2010, in Gjilan. In the Festival are featured five movies in the Competition and other two Out of the Competition, representing Kosovo and other countries, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Sweden and New Zealand. Part of the Festival was a special program, featuring short films produced by kosovar students of Fine Arts in Prishtina University, compiled in the single title “The Future Cinema”. The movies in the Competition were: “Border Donkeys” (Kosovo), “We and Lenin” (Albania), “Dead bird in the closet” (Sweden), “Libertas”, (Croatia) and “Circus Columbia” (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Meanwhile, Out of the Competition were featured movies “Departure from Paskvelija” (Macedonia) and “The Age of Stupid” (New Zealand). As the Best Movie was awarded “Circus Columbia” directed by Danis Tanovic, whereas with the Special Price was awarded “Border Donkeys”. As the Best Director was awarded Veljko Bulajic (“Libertas“), for the Best Screenplay Ivica Djikic and Danis Tanovic (“Circus Columbia“), Best Actor price went to Enver Petrovci (“Border Donkeys“), Best Actress award is given to Mira Furlan (“Circus Columbia“). Best Supporting Actor price won Robert Ndrenika (“We and Lenin“), whereas the Best Supporting Actress was Arta Muqaj (“Border Donkeys “). The price “The Future Cinema” was awarded Faton Bajraktari’s short film “Three windows”.







Second edition 2-2004 11-17 October Peja
The second edition of Kosovo Film Festival was held from 11 to 17 October 2004 in Peja, with the participation of films from Kosovo. Distinguished selections were awarded by the professional jury of the Festival with the “Hyjnesha në Fron” award.
In this edition these awards were shared: Leading role (actor, actress), Supporting role (actor, actress), Best screenplay, Best direction, Best film, Festival Award, Best documentary, Best short, and Life Achievement Award for a prominent actor Abdurrahman Shala)















First edition 1-2002, 3-10 September 2002
The first edition of Kosovo Film Festival was held from 3rd to 10th September in Gjilan. From an overall of 23 films, 7 of feature length were selected and shown. Awards were given to distinguished selections.
In this edition these awards were shared: Leading role (actor, actress), Supporting role (actor, actress), Best screenplay, Best direction, Best film, Festival Award, Best documentary, Best short, and Life Achievement Award (for a prominent director Besim Sahatçiu and actor Istref Begolli)
